Do Not Miss 52 Blue
Watching 52 Blue at the British Film Institute (BFI) London Indian Film Festival reminded me of something that becomes more important with time: knowing where you come from.
In a world that celebrates reinvention, it is easy to believe that success means leaving the past behind. My experience has been the opposite. Our roots give us perspective. They shape our values, our resilience and, ultimately, the direction in which we choose to grow.
52 Blue explores this beautifully. The film moves from the still waters of Kerala’s backwaters to the frenetic energy of football’s biggest stage in Qatar. From lush green landscapes to the vast desert. The cinematography captures these changing landscapes with great sensitivity, while Neha Dhupia delivers a wonderful performance, ably supported by her co-stars. Ashish and Arya will steal your hearts.
The Kamini and Vindi Banga Family Trust was proud to support the film and help bring this story to the screen. If you have the opportunity, do go and see 52 Blue. It is a film that will stay with you long after the credits have rolled.
