Cancer Research UK (CRUK)

Science with Purpose

Cancer Research UK (CRUK) is the world's largest independent charity dedicated to funding scientific research to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer, aiming to save lives by helping more people survive the disease.

CRUK funds scientists, doctors, and nurses globally, investing heavily in understanding cancer's biology, finding new drugs, improving radiotherapy, and developing early detection methods. The charity also offers reliable, accessible information on cancer symptoms, screening, treatment, and coping to the public.

CRUK runs campaigns and develops evidence-based policies to influence government decisions on cancer prevention and control.

The charity relies on public generosity through donations, fundraising events, and volunteer efforts to fund its life-saving work.

CRUK has had both financial and governance support from Kamini and Vindi for several years now with their donations focused on research to find a cure for the disease.

  • “Cancer Research UK’s mission is to help people live longer, better lives through world‑class research, influence and information. Partners like Kamini and Vindi Banga play an important role in making that possible. Through their generosity, and the time and leadership they contribute, they strengthen our ability to prevent cancer, detect it earlier and develop more effective treatments for people affected by the disease.”
